In our young toddler room, toddlers are developing a sense of independence. They are on the move and exploring everything. Their language and self help skills are developing quickly so it is important to provide them with an environment with a lot of stimulation. Children in this classroom will sing songs, read stories, play games, explore outside and go on walks which will help in the development of gross motor skills and peer interaction.

Our older Toddlers are not only curious about everything, but occasionally develop a sense of insecurity. Our teachers provide an environment that is warm, organized, familiar and structured in order to give a child the sense of security they need. Staff will warmly greet the child and quickly get him or her involved in something they enjoy.

Toddlers make great developmental strides during this year. Teachers will encourage potty training in a fun and supportive environment. Toddlers will have a consistent routine to give them the structure they crave. Their days will be filled with music, educational games and activities, indoor and outdoor play, and quiet time to bring a healthy balance to their day.
